Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to create an account and use PriceMapper.

Individuals under the age of 18 may use the service only under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who is the account holder and responsible for all activity on the account.

By using the service, you represent that you meet these requirements and will use the service only for lawful household purposes.

PriceMapper is a price intelligence platform that allows users to track grocery and retail prices through receipt scanning and community-contributed data. We aggregate and analyze this data to provide price comparisons, trend insights, and shopping recommendations.

To use certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Providing accurate and complete information
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

You agree NOT to:

• Upload receipts containing third-party personal information without redaction
• Scrape, harvest, or automate data collection from our platform
• Submit false, misleading, or manipulated price data
• Use the service to harass retailers, employees, or other users
• Engage in "gotcha" journalism or use data to shame specific store locations
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or hack our systems
• Use the service for any illegal purpose

By uploading receipts or contributing price data, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, process, aggregate, and display this data as part of our service. You retain ownership of your original content, but we own all derived, aggregated, and anonymized datasets.

The PriceMapper name, logo, software, aggregated datasets, algorithms, and user interface are our exclusive property. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

We are not responsible for any purchasing decisions you make based on price data shown in our application. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive.

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
